Newsletter, 2nd Quarter
June 10, 2010
Dear Clients and Friends:
We hope that this letter finds you healthy, wealthy, and wise. We know that most of you will be two out of the three, and in these days and times that might be about all you can ask for.
For those of you with estimated tax payments (either Federal or State…you know who you are) remember that the due date for those payments is June 15th. Please don't forget to make your payment on a timely basis. As you'll recall, when we prepared your 2009 individual Income Tax Returns, we also prepared 2010 Estimated Tax Payment Vouchers and mailing envelopes for your use in making these payments. If you have misplaced your mailing envelopes, you can find the correct mailing address on the face of the Estimated Tax Vouchers. If you've misplaced the vouchers, please call the office and we will make sure that new vouchers are either e-mailed or faxed to your attention. Of course, if your financial situation has changed significantly from what we originally anticipated, or you otherwise believe that your 2010 Estimated Taxes should be revised, please let us know and we'll be happy to help you with those revisions.
For those of you who filed extensions until October 15th for your 2010 Individual Income Tax Return, fear not: we're making progress on completing those returns. The progress is slow, granted, but sure. So please don't dismay. We'll get to your return as quickly as we possibly can. And for those of you who still owe us information to prepare your return, please forward that information to us at your earliest convenience.
Going Green!
This is our first start into e-mailing out quarterly reminders. We will soon begin to e-mail monthly newsletters. We know that we have some problems with duplicate e-mail address. So if you do get duplicates, please let us know by sending an e-mail to: newsletter@lewisandschiefer.com using the term "duplicate" in the subject line and we'll remove your duplicate listings. Additionally, if you do not want to receive any information from us in the future, please also send an e-mail to newsletter@lewisandschiefer.com using the term "delete" in the subject line and we'll remove you from any future newsletter information.
As always, if you have any questions or comments regarding estimated taxes, the new tax law, or anything else, please don't hesitate to call us at your earliest convenience. I hope that you have a wonderful summer and are looking forward to summer vacations, fireworks, friends, and family.
Sincerely,
Roy A. Lewis, E.A.
